Careers at Speedie: Lab Personnel

While Speedie & Associates, Inc. does not, at the present time, have any openings for laboratory staff, the firm recognizes that people are its most important and visible asset and, therefore, is always interested in reviewing the qualifications of knowledgeable, motivated, qualified, customer service-oriented individuals. The qualifications listed for the positions below should give the individual an idea of what the firm is looking for.

Laboratory Supervisor

Requirements:

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree from an accredited university, preferably in a scientific field.
• 5+ years supervisory experience in a high-volume construction materials laboratory.
• ACI, ATTI certifications.
• Good  leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Laboratory Technicians

Requirements:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 2-3 years experience in the laboratory testing of asphalt, soils, and concrete; ATTI, ACI certifications preferred; will consider impressive entry-level candidates
• Basic math skills and computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
• Good written and verbal communication skills
